Location: Remote working - occasional travel to office / lab

LC-MS/MS | Biomarker Discovery | Proteomics | Clinical Assay Development

We’re hiring for a Bioinformatician to join a dynamic and growing biotech working at the cutting edge of biomarker discovery and clinical proteomics. If you have a PhD (or equivalent experience) and a passion for translating high-quality lab science into real-world clinical impact, this could be your next step.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting day-to-day lab operations, including sample handling, data logging, and team collaboration
• Running proteomic workflows (LC-MS/MS) to identify novel phosphopeptide biomarkers
• Helping develop targeted, high-accuracy clinical assays to support treatment decision-making
• Driving method development, data interpretation, and assay optimisation
• Working closely with quality and technical teams to ensure robust, reproducible results
• Contributing to scientific documentation, protocols, and regulatory submissions

Experience:

• A PhD in a relevant STEM field (or equivalent lab experience)
• Strong background in LC-MS/MS and proteomic sample preparation
• Great teamwork, time management, and communication skills
• A self-motivated, solution-focused attitude with a drive to innovate and improve processes

Nice to have (but not essential):

• Experience with multiple sample types (e.g. blood, tissue)
• Bioinformatics experience in proteomics
• Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g. ISO 15189, CLIA)
