Job summary

Astute is seeking a Dual Site Operative to support two anaerobic digestion plants near Oxford. You will help run day-to-day operations, perform basic first-line maintenance, and operate mobile plant while participating in an on-call rota.

The role emphasizes health and safety and requires a full UK driving licence and telehandler/loading shovel/tractor licences. The position offers a basic salary up to £34,108, overtime opportunities, callout payments and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of two anaerobic digestion plants.
• Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps.
• Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel.
• Take part in the on-call rota.
• Monitoring the plant via the SCADA.
• Keeping the site clean and tidy.
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety.
• Other duties as required.

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit a Dual Site Operative to support across two sites near Oxford.

The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £34,108 + overtime, callout payments and excellent benefits package.

Reporting To The Plant Manager You Will

• Support with the day to day running of two anaerobic digestion plants
• Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
• Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
• Take part in the on-call rota
• Monitoring the pant via the SCADA
• Keeping the site clean and tidy
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety
• Other duties as required

Professional Qualifications

• Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training is essential
• Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
• Full UK Driving Licence

Personal skills

• Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
• Mobile plant experience
• First line maintenance experience
• Agricultural experience is highly desired
