Biofuels Production Manager

Blue Mountain Fruit Company is hiring a skilled Production Manager with a positive work ethic to join our team. This full-time position starts in mid-August 2025, with the apple packing season running until summer 2026, depending on crop availability. The ideal candidate will have flexibility to work from 7:15 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend shifts during busy periods (with advanced notice). Wage is $25+ depending on experience and skills.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage daily operations of the apple packing line to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Assign and oversee tasks for production staff and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor apple quality and maintain accurate production records using Google Drive and in-house software.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate with Maintenance as needed.
• Ensure daily cleaning and sanitation tasks are completed.

Needed Abilities:

• Previous experience in production management or a similar position.
• Experience operating a forklift, with willingness to obtain current certification.
• Interactive communication skills.
• Concern for safety.
• Positive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to shift between tasks quickly and efficiently.

Conditions of Employment:

• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
• Ability to lift 25kg (preferred).
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
• Valid G Class License.

Candidates should have strong attention to detail and work well in a team environment. The role involves repetitive movements such as reaching, lifting, bending, and standing, as it is on our production floor.
