Your future position
The role will involve fundamental supply and demand research for biofuels and feedstocks towards Kpler’s S&D product. You will be working with a team of experienced analysts and build an understanding of physical commodities markets and trading. Your contributions will establish our balances as a reference in the market, empowering clients to navigate complex dynamics and seize opportunities with confidence. You will be empowered to grow and create your own space in commodities research by delivering insights and servicing clients based on your analyses.
Your mission is to:
  • Collect and organise data from diverse sources promptly to maintain and expand our global supply and demand balances, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data collection and analysis processes, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on product development efforts.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated quantitative models to improve forecast accuracy, directly influencing client decision-making and market strategies.
  • Work closely with experts across agricultural and related markets to integrate diverse insights, driving innovative research and comprehensive market analysis.
  • Eventually build expertise in commodities, hold a view on the market and convey that view to internal and external stakeholders through discussions, reports and presentations.
It will be a match if you are or have:
  • You have a graduate degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in working with data: commodities research, finance, IT, economics or other data-oriented fields.
  • You are a self-starter and solution-oriented individual, comfortable working with ambiguity and uncovering answers to complex questions.
  • Passionate about owning responsibilities and upholding the accuracy and agility of the Kpler Agricultural S&D Balances.
  • You have advanced Excel skills; knowledge of SQL, Python or VBA a plus.
  • You have excellent English communication skills.
