Qualifications

Anglian Water offers a flexible approach; this role provides you with the opportunity to combine working from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your based location can be flexible across the Anglian Water region with travel required to various sites across the region

What you'll be doing:

- Plan, deliver, and monitor biodiversity management across Anglian Water land, including Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) and other conservation areas.
- Procure and manage external consultants, contractors, and NGOs to implement habitat and species management interventions.
- Conduct and coordinate species and habitat surveys to establish baselines and track biodiversity improvements.
- Provide expert advice to internal teams on wildlife legislation and best practice land management.
- Support compliance with environmental regulations by maintaining records, conducting audits, and responding to breaches.
- Collaborate with operational teams, Biodiversity Champions, and other stakeholders to embed biodiversity into everyday practices.
- Maintain and update biodiversity data, GIS records, and reporting tools to support business performance and regulatory commitments.
- Contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) reporting and the delivery of Anglian Water's Biodiversity Strategy.
- Develop internal communications and training materials to raise awareness and promote biodiversity initiatives.
- Represent Anglian Water in external partnerships, forums, and award submissions to showcase our environmental leadership.

What does it take to be successful?

- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

- Full UK Driving licence due to travel required within the role
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and habitat management.
- Experience in species and habitat surveys.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for nature and a drive to make a difference.
