Position Summary

Work as part of a team operating biological packaging lines. Operate packaging equipment and perform related tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of all tasks. Demonstrate a positive attitude and good attendance.

Hours: 3rd shift, Sunday – Thursday 10:00pm to 6:30am. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping and documentation: Maintain accurate records (timecards, batch records, logbooks, etc.).
  • Operate equipment: Run packaging lines, clean equipment, set up/disassemble machinery, operate in-process devices, handle materials with pallet jacks, apply metric calculations.
  • Follow SOPs and cGMPs: Adhere to all procedures, maintain cleanliness, wear appropriate attire.
  • Safety: Use PPE, follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, interpret MSDSs, practice safety techniques.
  • Decision-making: Follow instructions, identify anomalies, learn to recognize out-of-spec materials.
  • Process knowledge: Understand production flow, proper staging, and key terminology.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Computer skills: Perform basic PC tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read procedures and apply basic math.
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand tools.
  • Meet physical requirements.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college.
  • At least one year in manufacturing.
  • Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
  • Knowledge of Windows applications.

Physical Position Requirements:

  • Proper lifting techniques.
  • Prolonged standing, lifting 20-40 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible hours and overtime.
  • Ability to move stairs/ladders.
  • Exposure to chemicals, dust, noise.
