Your new role:
You will be an essential part of the Technical Operations Team, managing and completing risk capture and endorsement processing to ensure accurate and timely data recording.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the in-house and outsourced teams responsible for binding/slip processing maintain accurate data entry within the underwriting system from slips for inwards business.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Reviewing and improving existing processes to create efficiencies.
- Participating in monthly Underwriting and Marketing Conference Call (UMCC) meetings.
- Managing endorsement processing and data accuracy similar to binding/slip processing.
Managing Outsourced Providers:
- Maintaining and reviewing SOPs quarterly to incorporate process or system improvements.
- Ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met, including processing volumes and quality standards.
Earnings and Data Quality:
- Coordinating with the Actuarial team to update custom earning patterns monthly.
- Owning data entry and accuracy within Prequel.
- Training teams across Lines of Business and ensuring data quality targets are met.
- Addressing data quality errors promptly and working with Data Quality teams for continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Ensuring team understands month-end procedures and deadlines.
- Managing workload and ensuring SLA compliance.
- Supporting audits and implementing audit action points.
- Producing reports for management and board meetings.
- Maintaining documentation such as manuals, SLAs, and KPIs, and participating in projects and process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Operations/Management experience, including managing outsourced providers.
- Understanding of Underwriting and Policy Administration systems.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Standard; advanced skills in Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and manage teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret reports and work independently or in teams.
