A leading Lloyd’s broker is currently seeking a Binding Authority Broker to join our specialist team in the City of London.

Are you an experienced insurance professional with a strong understanding of binding authority placements, a keen eye for portfolio analysis, and excellent market relationship management skills? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

This role focuses on International business, with a particular emphasis on North America and the US.

Our Binding Authority team plays a crucial role in structuring and placing delegated underwriting arrangements, ensuring long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between our clients and capacity providers.

What the Day Will Look Like

  1. Manage and place binding authority agreements for international clients, with a key focus on North America and the US.
  2. Develop and execute growth strategies to expand our binding authority portfolio.
  3. Engage in referral broking, ensuring seamless risk placement within the London Market.
  4. Conduct portfolio analysis to identify opportunities for optimisation and new business development.
  5. Manage relationships with underwriters and other key market stakeholders.
  6. Meet with clients and markets to ensure alignment on risk appetite and business objectives.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of insurance experience and demonstrate:

  1. A solid understanding of London Market dynamics and binding authority placements.
  2. Strong technical insurance knowledge.
  3. Ability to interpret and use data effectively to inform decision-making.
  4. Proven relationship management skills with clients, insurers, and markets.
