Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a BIM Technician to deliver CAD/BIM data across projects from concept to commissioning. You will ensure BIM data is integrated and compliant with standards, while supporting the development of the common data environment and a standardised BIM library.

You will work with designers to balance time, cost and quality, mentor junior technicians, and help drive low-carbon, sustainable BIM solutions across water and wastewater schemes in the North East.

Qualifications

• Qualification in CAD, BIM or related field.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D or AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D modelling in a common data environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360).
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM data and perform quality control against standards.
• Model in 3D to support design, clash resolution and cost capture.
• Support development of the common data environment platform (Autodesk CC/BIM360).
• Create and maintain a standardised BIM element library for model reuse and low-carbon solutions.
• Ensure cyber security of CAD/BIM data and access.
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into our models.
• Collaborate with designers to balance time, cost and quality.
• Manage safety, wellbeing, environment and sustainability in BIM outputs.
• Mentor less experienced BIM technicians and provide guidance.
