Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a BIM Technician to support design teams on water and wastewater projects. You will develop 3D models, manage BIM data in a common data environment, and contribute to clash-free designs.

Working across the joint venture with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley, you will convert concepts into digital outputs from concept design through commissioning, ensuring BIM standards and integration throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in CAD, BIM or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in 3D authoring packages, ideally Autodesk Revit/Civil 3D, plus 2D CAD experience.
• Knowledge of water or wastewater, non-infrastructure or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver BIM and digital outputs across project lifecycles from concept design to commissioning.
• Ensure BIM aspects are integrated and considered throughout the process.

Job description

Using 3D modelling to support design collaboration, clash resolution, asset data capture, digital rehearsal and cost capture.

Recognised qualification in Computer-aided design (CAD), BIM or related field; or equivalent experience in a similar field.

• Proficiency in one or more 3D authoring packages, ideally Autodesk (Revit, Civil 3D), as well as 2D CAD authoring experience.
• Knowledge of water, or wastewater, non-infrastructure or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in authoring 3D models in a common data environment platform (Autodesk CC); an understanding of working in a CDE and managing BIM data throughout the project lifecycle is ideal.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
