BIM Modeller/Manager RC Frame/Gwk’s North London £30k/£50k

About the Client: Our client has established themselves at the forefront of the specialist civil engineering sectors, RC Frame/Groundworks. A company that has a turnover of £100m and works on packages ranging from £1m to £25m within RC Frame and Groundworks.

About the Role: You will join an existing team where you play an integral part for the business. You will;

• Import REVIT file into Sketchup.
• Use Sketchup to build a library of images which will be linked to the tender programme.
• Render all the images into a video to be used during the tender presentation.
• Attention to detail and building a complete picture on buildability to our clients including surrounding areas, logistics, and build sequence are essential to our tender bids.
• The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the planning and commercial departments.
• Create and develop a standardised Sketchup element library, to support model reuse and a production approach.
• Take responsibility for cyber security aspects associated with CAD/BIM data and access.
• Ensure content check is undertaken so direct correlation between models and the deliverable design drawings.
• Responsible for hosting the reviewed and checked model on shared site. Associate files (drawings, spec clauses, ITP, MSRA, work package plans…) to model elements.
• Manage use of digital forms. Also look into other methods of data capture to reduce paper usage.
• Review capabilities of systems and carry out continuous development and improvement to increase benefits of systems.

About the Requirements:

• Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering or similar where BIM was one of the Modules taken.
• Some modelling skills are required (Revit, Inventor and AutoCAD Civils 3D would be beneficial).
• Have a keen interest in the groundworks and frames sector.
• Must have an eye to detail.
• Very good organisational and planning skills.
