We have secured multiple long-term contracts and continue to grow and expand into new regions and markets.

In this role, you will join our Digital Engineering team delivering BIM services across the entire portfolio, along with CDE management, AI initiatives and digital solutions. As part of a multidisciplinary engineering business, there will be opportunities to contribute to projects across rail, highways and other civil infrastructure sectors, providing exposure to a diverse and varied project portfolio.

These programmes also provide a diverse range of opportunities for personal and professional development, whether you are working on long-term, high-value frameworks or smaller, community-focused initiatives. With these frameworks in place, you will have the opportunity to influence infrastructure projects that shape the region’s future.

What you will be doing:

As a BIM Manager you will act as digital a team leader, managing technical teams, and providing advice and support to operational managers, clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Production and checking of BIM deliverables that satisfy the overarching criteria of quality, cost and programme. Overseeing the actions of more junior members of staff undertaking similar tasks
  • Responsibility for the commercial success of the projects within your portfolio, controlling budgets and managing the costs associated with the production of deliverables
  • Liaising with client and supplier representatives at peer level, attending progress meetings, responding to queries etc.
  • Contributing to the preparation of bids and the general work winning function
  • Assuming the role of people manager when required by the business
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • Applied BIM processes and principles to complex or ambiguous situations, where concepts need to be adapted to reach the correct outcome
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of the design and specification process with ability to advise others
  • Highly experienced with relevant software (e.g. ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit etc.) and similar design/analytical tools.
  • Experience in the application of BIM standards and codes of practice, e.g. BS 1192 and ISO 19650 framework
  • Excellent knowledge of suppliers and types of services they provide, supported by having contacts within the supply chain
  • Very good oral communication skills and are able to present arguments and ideas well
  • A very good understanding of CDM and risk assessment
  • A good ability to manage spatial coordination and resolve possible interface clashes
  • Supervisory and people manager skills and the capability to manage a medium sized, locally based digital team
  • Developed experience and expertise in the BIM discipline, probably gained in a BIM Coordinator role or equivalent
  • Very good knowledge of client and international BIM standards, BIM documents, CDEs and emerging technologies
  • Developed experience of working within a common data environment in accordance with BIM processes
  • A level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (preferred, but not essential for individuals who can demonstrate the appropriate level of experience)
  • EngTech (or higher) status is also desirable, demonstrating your commitment to professional standards in engineering
