Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions is seeking CAD Managers/BIM Coordinators for London/Kent-based roles on a long-term contract until 2032 with a main contractor in utilities, earthworks and diversions across the Lower Thames Crossing. Hybrid work: 3 days a week in Dartford.

You will drive BIM procedures and collaborate with in-house design teams using Revit or Civil 3D. Responsibilities include overseeing BIM models, conducting clash tests, and ensuring documentation aligns with the BIM Execution

Qualifications

• Proficient with Autodesk Revit or Civil 3D; ProjectWise a plus.
• Experience on transportation projects (highways).
• Strong BIM standards, clash detection, version control.
• Excellent communicator; able to lead modelling team.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organisation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BIM design models with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct clash detection tests to resolve issues.
• Ensure models and documentation are organized in the Common Data Environment.
• Run regular quality checks for client/project requirements.
• Organise coordination meetings to resolve design/model issues.

Job description

Searching for CAD Managers/ BIM Coordinators based in London/ Kent - we're currently working with a main contractor with an in-house design team involved in utilities, earthworks and diversion work across Lower Thames Crossing offering a long-term contract until 2032. Our client is looking for skilled coordinators with the ability to drive procedures & standards. You will also have involvement in design with suitable applicants having Autodesk experience in either Revit or Civil 3D.

Competitive hourly rates (rate variation depending on experience).

Hybrid working arrangement - 3 times per week in Dartford

Requirements:

• Must be proficient with Autodesk software – either Revit or Civil 3D. ProjectWise experience desirable
• Exposure to transportation projects such highways etc
• Solid understanding of BIM standards, regulations and processes, with a focus on clash detection, version control, and model verification.
• Effective communicator, with the ability to run a team of experienced modellers
• High attention to detail, with strong organisational skills, and an ability to manage time, and prioritise workload, effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee BIM design models and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring the designs meet the project requirements.
• Conduct clash detection tests to find complications, and problems, and ensure that the models follow project specifications and the BIM Execution Plan.
• Make sure that models are concise and that documentation is organised efficiently in the Common Data Environment.
• Run regular quality checks to ensure that the design models comply with client and project requirements.
• Organise coordination meetings to discuss and find solutions for any design and/or model issues and challenges.
