Job summary

WSP Wales and the South-West region is seeking a talented BIM Coordinator to join the Civil team. You will coordinate BIM delivery across civil infrastructure projects, working with early career professionals to experienced engineers and digital leads.

You will contribute to digital workflows, model validation, and quality control while expanding your skillset through training, mentorship, and access to cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to coordinate teams to meet project goals.
  • Solid knowledge of civil/structural design engineering principles.
  • Strong proficiency with authoring tools (Revit, Bentley) and associated workflows.
  • Experience with BIM data management and digital delivery standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced specialist support for planning, mobilisation and production of Civil BIM models using Revit and related tech.
  • Support development and enforcement of digital delivery standards and BIM workflow improvements.
  • Uphold quality, value, and future-ready digital outputs across projects.
  • Implement model-first principles on relevant civil projects.
  • Create and maintain model templates and reusable BIM components.
  • Collaborate with digital leads and other disciplines to streamline workflows.

Your role will be at the heart of ouraward-winning digital project delivery team, using yourspecialistskills andexpertiseto help uscontinuallyimprove themanagement, productivity, andquality ofourBIM deliverables through the expanded use of advanced digital workflows andcutting-edgetechnologies.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Provide advanced specialist support for planning, mobilisation and production of Civil structure BIM models, data, and documents using Autodesk Revit and associated technologies
  • Support project management and project digital/BIMleads with the development and enforcement of digital delivery standards,methodsand proceduresincluding alignment to WSP UK Civil Information Management Framework
  • Uphold WSP’s commitment to quality, future ready, and providing value-add across projects
  • Implement WSP UK Civil’s ‘model first’ principles across relevant projects
  • Creation, modification and deployment ofmodel authoringtemplates and configurations to meet project requirements
  • Creation and management of re-usable BIMcomponentto support consistent and smarter parametric modelling
  • Closely collaborate with digital leads, computational engineers,surveyorsand other discipline specialists to develop streamlined digital workflows using existing and emerging technologies
  • Be a key member of Civil working groups to develop smarter and more efficient ways of working
  • Implement andmaintainBIM model validation and quality control processes
  • Perform regular audits and distribute lessons learned and best practice
  • Use skills to build or co-develop automations with our in-house application developers in-line with WSP UK Civil Automation Framework
  • Use skills to make better use of BIM data across projects
  • Support digital/BIM leads provision digital training
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate..
  • Proven ability to coordinate others to meet project goals andobjectives
  • Solid knowledge of civil and structural design engineering and principles
  • Must have strongproficiencyin the advanced use, set-up and configuration ofBentleyorAutodesk authoring tools (Such as Civil 3D, Revit,OpenBridges, etc.)
  • Strong experience in the use of CDEs such as ACC/Forma andBentleyProjectWise
  • Practical knowledge of technologies such as Navisworks, Rhino + Grasshopper and Dynamo
  • Good experiencewith model data production and management
  • Proven digital capability to work with others and develop smarter and more efficient ways of working
  • Capability and enthusiasmto expand existing skillsetwithcoding and data-analytics
  • Civil engineering degree or similar
  • Chartered or working towards engineering chartership
  • Proven professional continual development in your career
