Full Time, Part Time

We are currently recruiting for a Billing Department Administrator to assist the Billing Team at our Dewsbury office, and the role is offered on a full time or part time basis (minimum of three days).

We are currently seeking to recruit a strong administrator to assist the Billing team; previous experience with Legal Aid and CCMS would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Working closely as a team to ensure that the firm meets Legal Aid Agency requirements, dealing specifically with financial and case management standards in the preparation of costs claims for publicly funded work. Training will be provided along with regular updates to work with our bespoke case management system with significant support from the team.

Duties Include:

  • Monitor Billing Teams Inbox, CCMS notifications, respond to queries
  • Update spreadsheet and internal review systems
  • Point of contact for the Accounts department and external drafters
  • Support the Billing team in producing bills for submission to the LAA, bundle preparation, chaser steps for fee earners, counsel, other providers, and experts
  • Liaise and advise fee earners and support staff in relation to a variety of legal costs matters
  • Correspond with third parties – experts, counsel, etc.
  • Upload claims to the Legal Aid Agency
  • Possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with all types of people
  • Exhibit excellent analytical and organisational skills and the ability to use initiative while knowing when to seek guidance
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management
  • Maintain high levels of attention to detail
  • Exhibit a professional approach

The position is ideally offered on a full time basis; however, we would consider part time with a minimum of 28 hours per week.
