Base pay range

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours p/w (flexible start and finish times)

Reed is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a Billing Assistant to join their newly established finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something from the ground up and help shape the way the billing function operates.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing day-to-day billing activities, including generating and issuing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely processing.
  • Supporting electronic billing (E-billing) processes, such as client account setup, invoice submission, and resolving queries.
  • Collaborating with the Billing Manager and wider team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitoring unbilled work to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
  • Ensuring compliance with billing policies and client-specific requirements.
  • Liaising with internal teams to resolve billing issues promptly.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to keep your skills current.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in billing or financial administration, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with E-billing systems and a good understanding of Work in Progress (WIP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
