Job summary

A renowned US law firm in London is looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support billing and collections across UK and international offices. This role involves finalising client bills, managing time records, collaborating with legal teams, and ensuring timely collections. Prospective candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in law firm billing and a strong grasp of professional standards and billing processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' revenue experience in a law firm.
  • Solid understanding of billing processes and professional standards.
  • Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, reviewing and finalising bills in line with client guidelines, VAT rules and SAR requirements.
  • Managing time and disbursement records, write-offs, adjustments and client queries.
  • Collaborating closely with attorneys, legal teams and clients to ensure billing accuracy and timely approval.
  • Preparing reports for attorney review, implementing billing protocols and supporting e-billing submissions.
  • Supporting AR activity by monitoring credit levels and chasing outstanding invoices.
  • Liaising with clients, Partners and Associates to ensure timely collections and statement delivery.

A high-performing international law firm is seeking a confident and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join its London finance team. Supporting billing and collections activity across UK and international offices, this is a pivotal role with strong exposure to partners, clients and core finance systems.

Key responsibilities include:
