Job summary

A leading US law firm in London is seeking a Billing Specialist to support billing and collections in UK and international offices. The role requires collaboration with partners and clients to ensure accuracy in billing processes, involving tasks such as managing records and preparing reports. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a law firm is essential, along with proficiency in billing software and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' revenue experience in a law firm.
  • Solid understanding of billing processes and professional standards.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Aderant exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, reviewing and finalising bills in line with client guidelines, VAT rules and SAR requirements.
  • Managing time and disbursement records, write-offs, adjustments and client queries.
  • Collaborating closely with attorneys, legal teams and clients to ensure billing accuracy and timely approval.
  • Preparing reports for attorney review, implementing billing protocols and supporting e-billing submissions.
  • Supporting AR activity by monitoring credit levels and chasing outstanding invoices.
  • Liaising with clients, Partners and Associates to ensure timely collections and statement delivery.

Billing Specialist - Leading US Law Firm | London

A high-performing international law firm is seeking a confident and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join its London finance team. Supporting billing and collections activity across UK and international offices, this is a pivotal role with strong exposure to partners, clients and core finance systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, reviewing and finalising bills in line with client guidelines, VAT rules and SAR requirements
  • Managing time and disbursement records, write-offs, adjustments and client queries
  • Collaborating closely with attorneys, legal teams and clients to ensure billing accuracy and timely approval
  • Preparing reports for attorney review, implementing billing protocols and supporting e-billing submissions
  • Supporting AR activity by monitoring credit levels and chasing outstanding invoices
  • Liaising with clients, Partners and Associates to ensure timely collections and statement delivery

Candidate profile:
