Job summary

New Directions Education Ltd is recruiting Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to work in Welsh-medium secondary schools across the region. This rewarding yet demanding role suits individuals with supervisory, leadership, coaching or mentoring experience who can lead groups and support learners in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Ideally, candidates will have supervisory, team leader, coaching, mentoring or management experience.
• Experience communicating effectively with students, staff and parents is essential.
• Welsh-speaking ability is highly beneficial for roles in Welsh-medium schools.

Responsibilities

• Develop curricular knowledge in line with school requirements.
• Apply the school's behaviour management policy and report difficulties to the class Teacher/Senior Leadership.
• Set homework in line with classroom Teacher requirements and provide homework guidance.
• Administer class tests if requested and supervise Teaching Assistants as needed.
• Ensure students remain on task through classroom management and assist as required.
