Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is assisting an international business in Nottingham in their search for a Spanish-speaking Credit Controller. The role is hybrid, with two days per week in the office, focusing on managing international customer accounts and ensuring timely payments.

The candidate will chase overdue balances, resolve account queries, and support cash flow while delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Fluent or highly proficient in written and spoken Spanish.
• Experience in credit control, accounts receivable or similar finance role.
• Confident communicating with international customers by phone and email.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of international customer accounts.
• Contact Spanish-speaking customers to secure timely payment.
• Process and allocate customer payments accurately.
• Monitor payment schedules and minimise overdue debt.
• Investigate and resolve account queries and disputes.
• Open new trade accounts and assess creditworthiness.
• Maintain accurate customer and credit records.
• Identify potential financial risks within the portfolio.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Support improvements to credit control processes and procedures.
