Responsibilities
Program Overview
The Intercept program serves a diverse youth population, including those involved with multiple child-serving systems and at high risk of removal from their families. It specializes in diverting youth from out-of-home placements by helping families maintain youth safely at home. This role involves providing intensive home-based therapy to families.
Position Overview
- Manage a small caseload of 4-6 families
- Conduct family sessions three times a week at times convenient for the families, in their homes
- Participate in a crisis on-call rotation
- Attend three supervision meetings weekly
- Complete web-based documentation, utilizing voice recognition technology in most locations
- Provide treatment in families’ homes across various settings and communities
Additional Information
The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, aligned with the availability of youth and families. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle for work purposes, and auto insurance. Community-based staff will be reimbursed for mileage.
Minimum Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, written and verbal
- A Master’s degree in a social services discipline is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree is required. Considered degrees include social work, drug and alcohol counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees require further evaluation.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals or families in crisis intervention
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer skills
