Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting a Road Safety Education Tutor/Bikeability Instructor to deliver Bikeability cycle training across schools in the county. Start date is asap; fixed term to 31 March 2027, with potential extension to 2029.

The role is home based with bookings management and term-time hours. You will promote safe and active travel, complete required training to achieve Level 2 Award, and work with children in outdoor settings, with a flexible approach and occasional

Qualifications

• 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training or willingness to undertake four-day training; Maths and English GCSE Grade C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Bikeability training levels 1-3 and Learn to Ride in on/off-road environments.
• Manage bookings and promote training to ensure a full programme of Bikeability.
• Transport and store bike and equipment; hold a valid driving license and business insurance.
