Specifically, the overall objective is to strengthen the national statistical information for improved policy formation. This will be achieved by enhancing the capabilities of the national central bureau for statistics through the development of a high-impact big data strategy. Additionally, it aims to lay the foundation for a national Data Science Campus, while ensuring the protection of privacy and confidentiality.

To support the delivery of this project, SCJS is seeking short-term experts from UK public bodies and academic institutions to register their interest in working with us to support delivery on ‘Establishing a privacy and confidentiality protection framework in alignment with leading European Union regulations, ensuring data confidentiality and privacy via techniques such as anonymization and synthetic data generation, employing Privacy Enhancing Technologies’.

The project will be primarily delivered remotely from the UK, although there may be some requirement to travel nationally or internationally, for which remuneration is available.

At this stage, SCJS is seeking to build a list of subject matter experts with which to have more detailed discussions regarding their suitability and availability for this exciting opportunity.
