Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast-growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. The manufacturing facility features advanced machining technology such as a multi-axis NDT robotic machine, automated material cutting machine, and multi-axis CNC machining centres. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification to submission and review.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams to gather accurate data.
  • Develop and maintain cost models for materials, tooling, labour, and processes.
  • Ensure bids meet client requirements and internal standards.
  • Support NPI initiatives to optimise costs without compromising quality.
  • Maintain a library of bid data, pricing benchmarks, and lessons learned.
  • Assess risks associated with bids and include contingencies.
  • Prepare and present bid documentation, including summaries, pricing, and technical responses.
  • Track bid progress and communicate with stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Improve bid processes, tools, and templates for efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Proven experience in bid coordination, estimating, or commercial roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or ERP software is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.
