Job summary

Havas Media is seeking a Biddable Business Director to lead a senior team focused on Paid Social and Programmatic excellence within our luxury brand portfolio. You will shape strategy, drive learning initiatives, and embed best practices across client teams.

You will partner with Investment & Trading to meet commercial targets, translate complex solutions for clients, and mentor a high-performing team to stay ahead of industry trends in an integrated media ecosystem.

Qualifications

• A natural leader with 6+ years solid experience in Paid Social and/or Programmatic teams.
• Excellent communication skills and able to educate internal and external stakeholders in understanding the role of Paid Social and Programmatic in the wider media mix.
• Great storytelling and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex matters clearly.
• In-depth knowledge of Paid Social and Programmatic tools as well as audience insight tools.
• Experience owning and leading a project from start to finish.

THE ROLE:

This is an exciting position as a Biddable Business Director within Havas Media Network, with a focus on our luxury brand portfolio. You’ll be working with some of our most prestigious clients, with a strong emphasis on agility and best in class media delivery, alongside Client, Data & Engineering and Product & Investment teams. Working with the Head of Paid Social and Head of Programmatic, you’ll support the development of an innovative proposition across the agency, leading a team of Paid Social and Programmatic specialists to roll out learning initiatives across the client teams and groups, as well as create best practice processes and behaviours. You are expected to strategically design and lead Biddable products and implementation for clients and drive a truly integrated direction across biddable channels. You are also expected to work closely with Investment & Trading teams to deliver commercial and quality targets across all activities, ensuring that investment on behalf of our clients is commercially optimal with proprietary products and preferred partners. You should be experienced in audience planning, implementation and measurement, and can comfortably and confidently talk about how to maintain the integrity of audience segmentations, from planning to buying. You should be a visionary leader, as well as to be fully committed to turn vision into practice, with a deep commercial and operational mindset. The role is perfect for someone who has demonstrated a solid leadership and management in the Paid Social and/or Programmatic industry, with an ambition to develop and use existing knowledge of all communication channels and how they work together within an integrated ecosystem. You’ll be required to translate complex biddable solutions to our current and potential clients, to support commercial growth through organic opportunities with non-biddable clients and demonstrate our proposition as part of new business pitches.

• Work: Deliver more meaningful outcomes Great track record in leading biddable planning and implementation and in challenging the status quo Significant media agency/planning & activation experience Passionate about media and the role an agency can play in the evolving communications mix Develop our biddable proposition by translating global solutions to the UK market, and creating new solutions that influence our global roadmap Develop a culture of sharing across our team & externally through award winning case studies
• Growth: Drive business growth & momentum Driving investment planning at platform & audience level, leveraging partnerships with technology vendors and publishers Pitch experience in communicating new and market leading biddable solutions to clients Actively seeking opportunities to maximise biddable potential, improving biddable product proposition and be ahead of the curve of fast changing technology and industry trends Be ambitious in seeking to connect with the wider agency (Including Data, Technology, Planning, Insight and Measurement) to develop better solutions for clients
• People: Make a meaningful difference to our people Effectively manage team resources and proactively optimising it to achieve efficiency and a high standard of our biddable output, identifying training & development needs of team members Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team and support and manage all team members effectively Be an inspirational lead for the team - leading a team of directors to collaboratively work across teams and groups.

Who we’re looking for:

• A natural leader with 6+ years solid experience and proven track record working with Paid Social and/or Programmatic teams, with strong planning, trading and operational experience
• A great leader who can direct and coach a team of specialists
• Excellent communication skills and able to educate internal and external stakeholders in understanding of the role of Paid Social and Programmatic in the wider media mix, in order to achieve clients’ overarching business objectives
• Good storyteller, Great presentation skills and can think creatively
• Able to articulate complex matters in a simple and easy-to-understand way
• Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with many people of different backgrounds and skill sets
• Stakeholder management experience (across stakeholders with varying seniority, internally and externally)
• In-depth knowledge of all Paid Social and Programmatic tools as well as audience insight tools
• In-depth media industry knowledge beyond Paid Social and Programmatic
• Experience owning and leading a project from start to finish
• Can simplify complicated processes and frameworks
• Strong commercial mindset and always looking for opportunities to innovate for clients
• Able to interpret data with an analytical eye
• Strong administration skills, project management skills and an enthusiastic approach to other more menial aspects of the role
