Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking a skilled Bid Writer (Supported Housing) to drive our growth in Luton with hybrid working. You will craft high‑quality bids and responses to PQQs/ITTs, and ensure every submission demonstrates value for money and compliance with regulations.

You will translate complex service models into accessible content, manage the bid library and coordinate across teams to secure new contracts.

Qualifications

  • Proven bid/tender writing experience in housing/public sector
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes and subsidy rules
  • Excellent written communication, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong project management and organisational skills; able to manage multiple bids and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain bid-portals and monitor opportunities
  • Lead on drafting and coordinating responses to PQQs, ITTs and frameworks
  • Interpret tender specs to design compelling, compliant responses

Bid Writer (Supported Housing)

Salary: £45,000 Per Annum

Luton/Hybrid - Minimum 3 Days in Luton Office

Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

What you will be doing:
  • Manage and maintain a wide range of bid-portals, using them to continuously monitor and assess opportunities
  • Lead on drafting and coordinating responses to PQQs, ITTs and frameworks
  • Interpret tender specifications and evaluation criteria to design responses that maximise scoring potential
  • Manage a bid library of case studies, policies, templates, images and evidence
  • Ensure all financial proposals are compliant with tender specifications and relevant legislation (eg Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and subsidy regulations)
  • Provide commissioners with clear justifications for costs, balancing affordability with organisational sustainability
Who we are looking for:
  • Proven experience of writing successful bids/tenders (particularly within the supported housing, homelessness prevention s, social care, or related public-sector services)
  • Strong knowledge of supported housing commissioning processes supported housing rent models and subsidy rules
  • Excellent written communication, editing and proofreading skills - with an ability to turn complex service models into compelling, accessible content
  • Strong project management and organisational skills; able to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
