Job summary

Red Recruitment is recruiting a Bid Writer in Bristol to support our client, a leading fuel card reseller. You will coordinate bids, attend client meetings, and craft compelling proposals that are accurate, compliant, and timely.

The role requires bid writing experience in a B2B environment, strong writing skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent teamwork with Sales, Finance and Operations is essential, along with progression opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in bid writing, tender coordination or bid management in a B2B or commercial environment.
• Excellent written communication, ability to turn details into clear, persuasive proposals.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines.
• Experience preparing compliant bid/tender responses, with successful submissions.
• Confident attending client meetings with a Business Development Manager and translating discussions into proposals.
• Commercial awareness, ability to work with pricing and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings with the Business Development Manager to capture requirements and actions.
• Write, edit and proofread bids, tenders, and proposals tailored to client needs.
• Coordinate the bid process from initial review to submission, managing deadlines and documents.
• Review tender documents to identify submission requirements and evidence needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations and Client Services to gather information and pricing.
• Prepare and coordinate public-sector tender submissions and framework responses.
• Manage tender portals, clarifications and submission documents.
• Maintain an up-to-date library of bid content and supporting documents.
• Keep CRM records and tender trackers accurate and provide progress updates.
• Gather feedback on bid outcomes to improve future responses.
