Job summary

Bid Resource Solutions is recruiting a Hybrid Bid Writer in Preston. You will own the bid process, shaping high-quality responses for PQQs and tenders across construction and refurbishment frameworks.

Join a family-owned contractor, working with senior stakeholders to improve bid content, structure and presentation, while ensuring timely submissions and compliance with procurement guidance.

Qualifications

• Solid experience bid writing in the construction sector.
• Experience with frameworks such as NWCH, Pagabo, Procure Partnerships or similar.
• Strong written ability and experience producing high-quality tender responses.
• Willing to commute to Preston 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own the bid process, interpret requirements, manage timelines, and ensure on-time submissions.
• Contribute to bid strategy, win themes and competitive positioning.
• Research clients, sectors and procurement routes to strengthen submissions.
• Craft persuasive content for PQQs, tenders and frameworks.
• Ensure submissions align with procurement standards and transparency requirements.

Enjoy working in a Bid Writer role where you will take real ownership of written content, contributing to bids across the construction and refurbishment services. You will be part of an ever-developing bid function, working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key role in improving how bids are written, structured and presented.

Your Duties

• Own the bid process with confidence, expertly interpreting requirements, managing timelines, and ensuring every submission is delivered on time and to the highest standard
• Bring energy and insight to bid strategy, actively contributing to kick-off meetings and reviews, helping shape compelling win themes that set us apart from the competition
• Conduct in-depth research, developing a strong understanding of each client, sector, and procurement route, while applying knowledge of the Construction Playbook and current public procurement guidance to strengthen submissions
• Craft persuasive, high-impact content, producing clear, original, and tailored responses for PQQs, tenders, and frameworks that showcase our strengths and value
• Champion compliance and best practice, ensuring all submissions align with the Procurement Act 2023, reflecting transparency, integrity, and robust tendering standards

Experience Required
