About the Role:
Stir Food Ltd is seeking a talented Bid Writer, reporting to the bid manager, you will craft high-quality tender material for Education Catering opportunities. You'll play a key role in securing new contracts and retaining existing ones by producing compelling, high-scoring proposals.

The position is 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, £30,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop high-scoring SQ responses to enhance Stir Food Ltd's chances of being shortlisted for tenders.

Craft compelling proposal content that highlights the benefits of Stir Food Ltd's solutions for client acquisition and retention.

Stay updated on key priorities within the Operations and Food departments, ensuring these are effectively reflected in tender submissions.

Analyse ITT requirements and collaborate with the Client Development Lead to shape strong bid responses.

Conduct thorough research on individual schools to tailor bid submissions to their specific needs.

Structure responses in line with tender scoring criteria and guidance from the Client Development Manager.

Create clear, strategic storyboards that align with the win strategy and incorporate client-specific themes.

Work closely with the client development team and internal subject matter experts to integrate strong win themes and evidence-based solutions.

Research and understand the needs of potential clients within the state education sector.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop winning bid strategies.

Write and refine high-quality proposals, tender responses, and presentations.

Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.

Manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines.

Conduct post-bid reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

The Ideal Candidate should have:

  • A full clean UK driving licence
  • InDesign experience preferable
  • Experience in bid writing, preferably within the catering and food service industry
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
