Job description

A leading Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Antrim has a new requirement for a Bid Writer to join the team.

You'll collaborate closely with subject matter experts from the Estimating, Technical and Project teams to craft persuasive content that reflects the company's capabilities and values.

Responsible for:

  • Lead the preparation, writing, editing and submission of PQQs, ITTs, and post-tender presentations for frameworks and projects in the civil engineering sector
  • Manage and coordinate tender response content, ensuring accuracy, compliance and consistency
  • Work alongside the Estimating and Technical teams to develop win strategies and key messaging
  • Manage content libraries (case studies, CVs, standard responses) and ensure they're regularly updated
  • Conduct tender debrief analysis to inform future bid improvements
  • Support marketing and brand alignment across tender documents and presentation
  • Attend internal review meetings to ensure submission quality and alignment with deadlines

The ideal Bid Writer will have:

  • Strong prior experience in writing winning bids in construction or civils
  • Open to site/ civil engineering experience
  • Proven ability to manage complex submissions from concept to delivery
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management
