Role Overview: The Bid Manager leads and coordinates bid teams—comprising subject matter experts, bid writers, and commercial leads—to produce compelling submissions that support Telent in winning projects. Responsibilities include managing the full bid lifecycle for medium-value opportunities, aligning with Telent’s bid governance, overseeing cost models, organising reviews, documenting decisions, and tracking submission progress to ensure timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Ideal Candidate Profile: An experienced bid professional with a proven track record of managing multiple small-value bids concurrently, preferably in telecommunications, defence, or public services sectors. Excellent project management, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality submissions.
The candidate should be APMP qualified (or working towards it), financially astute, confident in writing and reviewing tender responses, and possess a solid understanding of IT and telecommunications. Experience with winning work with TfL (London Underground, Overground, Elizabeth Line, DLR) is highly advantageous.
