This role is a new Bid Manager hire for a market leading legal firm, reporting into an experienced Head of Business Development. The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end bid processes across multiple sectors and industries.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the bid process from qualification through to contract award.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality proposals and presentations to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for bids.
• Monitor the market and competitor activities to inform bid strategy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the bid process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of bid processes and practices.
• Provide regular reports on bid performance to senior management.

Candidate Profile

For the Bid Manager - Legal Services role, applicants should have:

• At least 2 years of experience in a bid-related role, ideally in a lead management capacity. Applications from more junior candidates will also be considered.
• A background in professional services, particularly in the legal sector; experience in financial services or business services is also relevant.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously in a bids role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Job Offer

On offer for the Bid Manager - Legal Services role:

• Base salary up to £55,000, dependent on experience.
• Hybrid working setup - 2 days onsite per week.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an option to buy an additional 5 days.
