Job summary

SBFM is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our growing Commercial team in Leeds. You will manage the bid process from opportunity through to submission, producing compelling, compliant proposals that help us win new business and support ambitious growth.

You'll collaborate with the Head of Bid Management, Business Development and Operations to tailor responses, manage deadlines and maintain high-quality submission documents while developing our bid content and knowledge libraries.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Bid Manager or similar bid writing role, ideally within Facilities Management or another service-led industry.
• Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders across the business to tailor proposals.
• Experience using procurement portals and managing tender submissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the bid process from opportunity through to submission, ensuring proposals are engaging, compliant and tailored to client needs.
• Write, edit and refine persuasive bid responses that demonstrate our value proposition.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Operations and SMEs to develop winning solutions.
• Identify client priorities and tailor proposals accordingly.
• Produce high-quality submission documents that are compliant and professional.
