Job summary

Pave Recruit is partnering with a contractor delivering electrical, security and infrastructure solutions. We seek a Bid Manager to drive business growth by managing the full tender process from opportunity identification through to submission and handover.

You will coordinate internal stakeholders, develop compelling submissions, and ensure deadlines are met while capturing accurate cost estimates for labour, materials and overheads.

Qualifications

• Experience within bid management, estimating, or tendering.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience producing and reviewing cost estimates.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive bid content.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Experience with electrical, M&E, security systems, highways, infrastructure, or public-sector frameworks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full bid lifecycle, including opportunity review, tender planning, submission management, and post-tender debriefs.
• Review tender documentation, identify risks, and develop compliant and competitive bid strategies.
• Create, structure, and quality-assure bid responses to ensure clear, persuasive, and accurate submissions.
• Coordinate bid programmes and manage deadlines across internal teams.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, subcontractors, and overheads.
• Analyse pricing, identify value engineering opportunities, and support margin improvement strategies.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, clarification sessions, and bid presentations where required.
• Manage the transition of successful bids into delivery teams, ensuring all commercial and contractual details are captured.
