Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a UK based renewable energy company who specialises in the development, construction and operation of utility scale solar projects, to recruit a Bid Manager to secure new business opportunities.

The Bid Manager role comes with a starting salary of �60,000 plus benefits

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Business Development Manager you will:

* Develop bid proposals with accurate costings and contribute to business planning.
* Provide excellent customer service and technical sales support to new and existing clients.
* Promote company services and drive sales growth across various market sectors.
* Maintain accurate documentation and generate monthly sales reports.
* Collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge, and support overall team performance.
* Take initiative to drive continuous improvement with strong attention to detail.
* Stay updated on industry trends and communicate key developments to senior management.


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Previous experience with AutoCAD and PVsyst Software
* Demonstrated ability in managing end to end bid preparation.
* Confident in handling technical sales enquiries and bespoke quotations.

Personal skills

The Bid Manager would suit someone who has:

* Excellent organisation and capability of managing multiple projects.
* Fantastic communication, across verbal and written platforms
* Able to work effectively and to tight deadlines
* Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
