Job summary

BAM Infrastructure in Scotland is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead bid development for energy and civil engineering projects across the region. You will coordinate inputs from Bid and Project teams, ensuring timely submissions and high-quality proposals.

The role reports to the Pre-Construction Manager with a flexible working policy. BAM offers competitive salary and extensive family-friendly policies, pension contributions, private healthcare and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering, coordinating bids, tenders or estimating submissions.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication with proven delivery of leadership.
• Knowledge/experience in the UK railway industry and commercial context.
• Chartered status or degree level education desirable.
• Knowledge of/experience in Alliancing desirable.

• Manage/coordinate bid development to schedule and quality.
• Report to Bid Lead and collaborate with Project Team.
• Coordinate input from Bid/Project team across disciplines.
• Provide technical info to Bid Lead to support decision making.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Scotland working on energy and civil engineering projects across the region.

Making Possible

This is a key role to support and assist in the management and preparation of timely bid submissions to secure projects for our development and delivery teams.

Your key activities will include:

• Responsible to the Pre-Construction Manager for the management and development of each bid to the agreed schedule and required quality.
• Functional reporting line to the Bid Lead and close collaboration with all members of the Project Team.
• Coordinate input from all members of the Project and Bid Team, including, Bid Writing, Commercial, Estimating, Planning, Design, Engineering,
• Civil Construction, Rail System, SPC, Surveys, Integration and Procurement colleagues.
• Work closely with functional staff in developing the plan for their input, as required for each proposal.
• Provide support and technical information to the Bid Lead and his/her team to facilitate effective decision making.
