Job summary

BAM Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our Scotland team on energy and civil engineering projects. You will lead the bid development process, coordinate inputs across design, commercial, and planning, and ensure timely submissions with quality.

You will collaborate with the Project Team and Bid Lead, applying strong project management and communication skills. A Chartered status or degree is desirable, with a wide range of family-friendly policies and a supportive

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and coordinating bids, tenders, and estimating submissions.
• Strong project management skills and leadership within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to support bid decisions.
• Knowledge of/experience in the UK railway industry.
• Chartered status membership and/or degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop each bid to schedule and quality.
• Coordinate input from Bid Team across disciplines.
• Provide technical information to facilitate decision making.
• Work with Bid Lead and Project Team to support proposals.
• Report to Pre-Construction Manager and collaborate with Project Team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Scotland working on energy and civil engineering projects across the region.

Making Possible

This is a key role to support and assist in the management and preparation of timely bid submissions to secure projects for our development and delivery teams.

Your key activities will include:

• Responsible to the Pre-Construction Manager for the management and development of each bid to the agreed schedule and required quality.
• Functional reporting line to the Bid Lead and close collaboration with all members of the Project Team.
• Coordinate input from all members of the Project and Bid Team, including, Bid Writing, Commercial, Estimating, Planning, Design, Engineering,
• Civil Construction, Rail System, SPC, Surveys, Integration and Procurement colleagues.
• Work closely with functional staff in developing the plan for their input, as required for each proposal.
• Provide support and technical information to the Bid Lead and his/her team to facilitate effective decision making.
