Job description

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a successful and well-established construction client who is looking to appoint a Bid Manager to join their pre-construction team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to play a key role in securing exciting new projects and shaping the future pipeline of work. The Bid Manager will take ownership of the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with estimators, planners, and the wider team to deliver compelling and high-quality bids. As a Bid Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the bid strategy, managing deadlines, and producing professionally written content that reflects the company’s values and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions
2. Coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders to gather input and information
3. Leading bid strategy meetings and identifying win themes
4. Writing and editing technical and non-technical responses for PQQs, ITTs and frameworks
5. Reviewing and improving existing bid content and documentation
6. Working closely with directors and senior management to align bids with business goals

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Bid Manager within the construction or built environment sector
2. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
3. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
4. Excellent attention to detail and a strategic mindset
5. A collaborative approach to working with internal and external teams
