Bid Management and Proposal Developer

Location: UK-wide (hybrid or home-based)

Job Overview

Develop and prepare budgets and proposals for assigned customers to support the global sales team.

Essential Functions
  1. Review Requests For Proposal (RFP). Identify information for proposal text and budget development and work closely with proposal development team to prepare and finalize proposals.
  2. Prepare text and budget for proposals, rebids, and related documents.
  3. Provide support and assistance to other Proposal Developers in the delivery of assigned opportunities.
  4. Lead projects to develop proposals and budgets.
  5. Revise or develop preliminary agreements, scope of work, and related budgets. Ensure scope is correctly defined and budgets reflect the scope.
  6. Develop a thorough understanding of, and ensure compliance with, all processes and policies related to proposal development.
  7. Participate in strategy calls to discuss customer requirements and identify discrepancies in customer information.
  8. Perform quality control edits on all documents and participate in finalizing documents for distribution to customers and internal departments.
  9. Update and maintain corporate databases, ensuring accurate information in tracking reports.
  10. Participate in training, coaching, or mentoring new staff.
  11. Participate in customer meetings as needed.
  12. Contribute to department initiatives.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
  14. Manage a go-to-market pipeline across the region for Payer, Provider, and Government Group (PPG) opportunities, including identifying tender partners and improving the scanning process.
  15. Collaborate with PPG teams to triage opportunities and manage governance actions, including follow-up calls at UK and regional levels.
  16. Track PPG pipeline via CRM reports; support local teams with CRM training and ensure consistent CRM usage.
  17. Monitor and flag EC and related funding opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Business Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in contracts, proposals, or industry-specific operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of the CRO industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and understanding of costing models.
  • Ability to interpret RFPs and protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and customers.
