Here at Hilti GB, we have a new position based at our Manchester HQ for a Bid and Proposal Manager. You will deliver high-quality bids and proposals for large private and public sector projects, supporting our expansion plans in Great Britain and beyond.

What does the role involve?

  1. Bid and Proposal Management: Review tender documents, understand customer requirements, develop winning proposal strategies, influence and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  2. Commercial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, working closely with teams to assess and address potential issues.
  3. Contract Management: Draft and negotiate contract terms, support commercial issues during contract execution.
  4. Commercial Support: Provide strategic commercial advice during project acquisition, influence customer decisions, and lead internal discussions to increase our chances of winning deals.

What you need is:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a large-scale Bid, Proposal, Tendering, or Contract management role, managing bids through all phases on major accounts and projects
  • Strong experience managing commercial risk and pricing
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Deep knowledge of contractual terms and customer-facing experience in structuring and negotiating contracts
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with risk management skills and understanding of business processes
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams with a team-oriented approach

Desirable:

  • Experience in a multinational environment and willingness to travel across Europe
  • Experience in energy or construction project management
  • Experience in highly regulated industries such as Power, Nuclear, or Engineering
  • Proficiency in additional European languages besides English
