Job summary

DHL is seeking a BI Insights Analyst to turn data into actionable business intelligence. The role focuses on developing dashboards, automating reports, and providing insights to support operational performance across our Scunthorpe operations.

The position offers hybrid/remote working, with initial on-site training at Scunthorpe and occasional site visits. A strong background in analytics, Power BI, and data governance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, transport, distribution or retail operations.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with dashboard development ability.
• Proficient in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and Excel for data modelling and automation.

BI Insights Analyst Pay Rate: £37,000 Grade: RCS L Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week, flexible day shift working Location: Scunthorpe - Hybrid/Remote working

This role offers the flexibility of working from home, combined with the opportunity to collaborate on-site when required. You'll need to be available to attend our Scunthorpe location for your initial training period and occasional site visits, so a reasonable commuting distance is preferred

Using advanced analytics and reporting tools, you'll develop insightful dashboards, automate reporting processes, and provide actionable recommendations that support operational performance and strategic decision-making. A typical day may involve

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models that provide clear, actionable business insights
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas for performance improvement
• Create and enhance automated reporting solutions, reducing manual processes and increasing efficiency
• Design and monitor KPIs and performance metrics aligned to business objectives, supporting strategic decision-making
• Present data-driven insights through engaging visualisations and recommendations, helping stakeholders make informed operational and commercial decisions

This role would suit people who

• Previous experience within supply chain, logistics, transport, distribution or retail operations, with a strong understanding of operational environments
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and Excel, with the ability to develop dashboards and automated reporting solutions
• Proven ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
• Strong understanding of KPIs, performance management frameworks, data governance and reporting best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting insights to operational and senior leadership teams and collaborating across functions to drive business performance
