Job summary

LA International is seeking a BI/ETL professional to develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models. You will connect to SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud sources, while optimizing data pipelines and implementing RLS security.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, validate data, and ensure reliable dataset refreshes, documenting processes and providing end-user training as part of a regulated, security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building Power BI reports and data models.
• Hands-on ETL development with Informatica and AWS data services.
• Security clearable or willingness to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Design and implement robust data models using Power BI Desktop.
• Create efficient DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
• Connect Power BI to data sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes using Power Query and other data integration tools.
• Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting for report accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
• Optimize report performance and manage dataset refresh schedules.
• Implement security controls using Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Monitor and support Power BI Service workspaces, gateways, and deployments.
• Create technical documentation and provide end-user training.
• Follow data governance and BI best practices.
