Proactive IT Appointments with a leading British brand in London is seeking a BI Engineer to join on a permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering and developing the organisation-wide BI infrastructure, unifying data from core systems to provide a single view of the business and its strategic partners.

Required experience includes ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data warehousing, SQL/T-SQL, Python/PySpark, and Power BI. You will operate in an Agile environment with excellent bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong data engineering experience with ETL/ELT and data pipelines.
• Solid data warehousing knowledge and dimensional modelling.
• Advanced SQL/T-SQL skills and Python/PySpark experience.
• Experience integrating data from APIs, databases and files.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience building semantic models using Power BI/SSAS.

BI Engineer

London | Permanent | Up to £65,000 per annum | Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Proactive IT Appointments have partnered with a leading British brand in their search for a BI Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.This is a key role in the Business responsible for the delivery and development of the organisation wide BI infrastructure, bringing together data from our core systems to provide a single view of the business and its strategic partners.

Experience required:

• Strong experience in data engineering, including ETL/ELT, data pipelines and modern cloud data platforms
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, Kimball principles and data architecture
• Advanced SQL/T-SQL skills, including query development, optimisation and troubleshooting
• Strong Python, PySpark or similar programming skills for data manipulation and automation
• Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, files and other sources
• Experience with data quality, pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting
• Experience working with CI/CD, source control and DevOps practices
• Experience developing and maintaining semantic models using Power BI, SSAS or similar
• Hands-on experience with modern BI tools, preferably Power BI
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
