This is a truly unique opportunity for an ambitious BI Developer/Power BI Developer to use your expertise to positively impact outcomes for young people and their families.
This role offers significant progression and exposure to the latest technologies for a Business Intelligence Developer seeking a long-term role, collaborating with a talented team of developers and business analysts.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Connect data sources, import, and transform data for reporting models.
- Optimize data models for performance and scalability in Power BI.
- Create estimates for change requests and project deliverables.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and Scrum ceremonies.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and testable solutions.
- Manage DAX queries, calculated columns, and measures.
- Integrate Power BI reports with other applications using embedded analytics and APIs.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Provide training and documentation for end-users and team members.
- Monitor BI solutions for performance and availability.
- Provide third-line support to the Service Desk as needed.
Key Skills
- Proven experience with Power BI in a commercial setting.
- Strong DAX, Power Query, and data modeling capabilities.
- Understanding of relational databases, especially Microsoft Azure SQL Server.
- Knowledge of data modeling, architecture, and reporting design.
- Understanding of application security layers in Power BI.
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server and relational databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data schemas.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Power BI version control and integration.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or demonstrable experience.
- 3+ years in Business Intelligence or data analytics.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Databricks is advantageous.
