Are you a data enthusiast looking for a new opportunity?

Shared Services Connected Limited's Government sector are on the lookout for an experienced BI Developer to join a growing team working on unique public sector data contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with existing Business Intelligence experience to become a master of industry standard tech such as: SQL and SplashBI. You will be integral in the delivery of efficient and effective reporting across the various platforms and applications that we support.

This role will be based predominantly from home with very occasional travel to one of the SSCL offices in either Blackpool or Newport.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manages system reports and supporting objects in accordance with appropriate change control measures.
  • Coordinate changes and lead all aspects of defects and the development of the resulting solutions.
  • Maintain (and update/ fine tune) where necessary the underlying report code used (i.e. PL/SQL, SQL etc) to a high standard as the source to the available reports and business areas/data warehouse objects and document these changes.
  • Maintain solution integrity and links to the base tables and all other appropriate reporting data sources, including ensuring that any data exchanged with customers is correctly secured and managed.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven knowledge of reporting tools for example Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, BI Publisher, Splash BI or Discoverer reporting.
  • Experience and/or understanding of Oracle Saas solutions.
  • Proven advanced SQL & PL/SQL skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of a wide range of Oracle standard Modules and the underlying schemas across multiple software versions, and need to be competent to deal with queries and changes on any subject area.

It would be great if you had:

  • Proven project management skills and experience of delivering large programmes of work within tight deadlines, utilising appropriate project management tools.
