A leading financial services firm in London seeks a Business Intelligence – Data Analyst/Developer to support a key business project through operational and ad-hoc reporting. This role requires strong Oracle SQL skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency in Excel. The ideal candidate will engage with stakeholders to convert data requirements into scalable solutions. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering a supportive work environment.

Experience in Spread Betting and CFD derivatives or similar financial products

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Business Intelligence – Data Analyst/Developer, you will be responsible for the operational and ad-hoc reporting to support a key critical business project. You will be enabling data-driven decision-making by working with CMC’s operational and functional teams.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem- solving skills with attention to detail

  • Analyse large datasets using Oracle SQL to extract, manipulate and report data.

  • Be able to develop robust, accurate and scalable data solutions from operational data.

  • Perform application and data analysis to understand business processes.

  • Engage with key business stakeholders to understand processes, define data assets, and gather reporting requirements.

  • Analyse and document existing reports and processes

Key skills and Experience:

  • Advance Oracle PL/SQL skills

  • Experience developing data mart/data warehouse solutions

  • Advanced Oracle SQL skills including data discovery, querying, data manipulation, and data analysis

  • Experience in understanding requirements and developing data-related reports/extracts

  • Proficiency in the use of using Excel to report large datasets

  • Proven track record in providing information and data reporting to relevant business units to agreed deadlines

  • Experience in Spread Betting and CFD derivatives, Shares, or similar financial products is desirable
