Job summary

Spait Infotech is seeking a data-focused BI Analyst in the United Kingdom to gather requirements, clean and analyze data, and build BI reports and dashboards. You will leverage SQL and BI tools to deliver insights and drive data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau and advanced Excel is essential, as is the ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• SQL and relational databases proficiency required.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
• Excel skills including PivotTables, formulas and data analysis.
• Understanding of data visualization and dashboard development.
• Knowledge of data modelling and ETL concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Use Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools to present business insights.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities from business data.
• Create KPIs and performance metrics to support business objectives.
• Work with data engineers and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Validate data and troubleshoot reporting or data-quality issues.
• Automate recurring reports and improve reporting processes.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, data sources, and business requirements.
• Support management with ad-hoc analysis and data-driven recommendations.
