About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join our team in London. Main skills will be to focus on SQL, DataBricks cloud and Tableau for visualisation. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will play a crucial role in providing analytics insights to support business decisions across sales, marketing, editorial, and product management teams globally. You will work closely with marketing, sales, product, web developers, UX designers, and stakeholders to ensure effective and insightful reporting. Additionally, you will collaborate with data engineering and technical teams to enhance data quality and deliver tailored insights aligned with our business objectives.
- Work with the BI Team colleagues to develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations using BI software (Tableau, Power BI etc) to monitor website performance and track progress towards goals.
- Utilise Google Analytics, GA4 and Looker / Google Data Studio, to provide scheduled and ad hoc reporting to the business.
- Collaborate with our engineers to define and validate the web analytics required for GA streams into DataBricks (our data lake platform).
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for website optimisation and user experience improvements.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of web analytics data to gain insights into commercial performance, conversion, user journeys, and customer behaviour.
- Work with Data Engineering and technical teams to continuously improve data quality and ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
- Support the management and delivery of business intelligence initiatives, working closely with the department head.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in website analytics, and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.
About You
Experience and Skills:
- Preferred degree preferably in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Knowledge of DataBricks cloud or similar datalake technology is a plus
- Experience in Tableau would be a plus
- Experience in Google Analytics 4 / Adobe Analytics, or similar, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio / or Looker or similar.
- Experience with statistical analysis and experimentation methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, multivariate testing).
- Understanding of data science techniques, such as predictive modelling and machine learning, is beneficial but not required.
