Senior Business Analyst - Business Intelligence Focus
Location: Surrey (Hybrid Working, 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Employment Type: Full Time

We are partnered with an innovative and forward thinking organisation based in Surrey, seeking to hire an experienced BI Business Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that values data driven decision making and fosters a culture of growth and development.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a key part of the Business Intelligence team, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and transform data into meaningful insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with business users to understand reporting needs and business drivers
• Designing and implementing scalable data models that align with business requirements
• Building and maintaining data warehouses to facilitate self service analytics through PowerBI
• Managing and optimising ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS
• Enhancing data visualisation capabilities and driving best practices in reporting
• Ensuring data integrity, compliance with GDPR, and robust data security measures
• Performing database administration, query optimisation, and performance monitoring

We are looking for a Business Analyst who is comfortable working across both technical and business domains, with a strong understanding of Business Intelligence principles.

Key requirements include:

• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role with a focus on BI and Data Analytics
• Proficiency with PowerBI, Excel, and SSRS for business reporting and analysis
• Solid understanding of SQL, DAX, and ETL processes
• Experience with PowerBI data flows and deployment pipelines
• Exposure to Scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Ideally, PL 300 Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (not essential but highly advantageous)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
