Job Title: BI/Business Analyst

Location: London, UK

Type: Permanent role

Job Description:

• In depth experience as a BI Business Analyst implementing large scale data warehouse and BI solutions.
• Strong understanding of BI, data warehousing and data modelling concepts
• Familiarity with the MS BI Stack for Data Warehouse, BI and MDM concepts and analysis techniques
• Excellent T-SQL and Excel skills to manipulate data, write macro's etc
• Experience using data quality, data cleansing and data mapping tech & strategies
• Experience working in a workshop in collaborating manner to drive the technical approach and solutioning for new requirements and implementations
• Proven track record as a BI Business Analyst within London Markets, General Insurance or other Financial Services environment with an eye to detail.
• Stakeholder management and ability to talk and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties.
• Anchor workshops with stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Requirement's elicitation and ability to document requirements at a level understandable to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Ability to communicate complex business problems and solutions with all levels of business - senior management (CXO), project managers, architects and developers.
• Excellent communication skills and significant experience working in a customer facing environment.
• Experience in agile and waterfall methodologies and working in an onshore-offshore model.

Nice to have:

• Prior BI development experience (ETL and Reporting)
• Hand on experience with SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
